Sukkot, Lag Baomer, Shavout…

Sukkot

Sukkot is a time of great joy (zeman simchateinu). It is a time of unification and community, as seen in the communal pilgrimage to Jerusalem, the binding of the four different species, and the offering of the 70 bulls which represent all of humanity. And it is also a time of faith and renewal in our connection and closeness with our Maker – as experienced sitting in the material uncertainty of the Sukkah.

Sukkot, more than anything is a time of rejoicing. This Sukkot, get a real taste of the the true  bliss which the holiday holds through a unique and interactive music and rhythm program.

Lag BaOmer

Lag BaOmer, the 33rd day of the Omer count, is a great and joyous Jewish holiday. It commemorates the passing of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai as well the cessation of the plague of Rabbi Akiva’s students. Aside from the wealth of deep symbolism and mystical tradition, this holiday is associated with outdoor adventures, bows and arrows, and big bonfires. It is a time of communal gatherings, sharing, and good times.

Whether it be around a big bonfire at night, in the classroom, or outdoors, our high energy music and rhythm program will unify and inspire.

Shavuot

In addition to being the day on which the Torah was received on Mount sinai, the great harvest festival and the holiday of the first fruits, Shavuot is also a time of unity. Camped at the foothills of Mount Sinai, actively waiting to receive the Torah, the Jewish people are described as “K’ish echad b’lev echad” – “as one person with one heart”. (Rashi on Exodus 19:2)

There’s no better way to create a tangible experience of the power of unity than through a shared music and rhythm program, where each individual contribution is vital in the creation of a unique and beautiful composition.
